Q How can I personalize it with my own custom images and designs? What if I can't find my device?
Any image or design that you would like can be put onto your Tego Custom Skin. Photos of you or your friends, or your favorite band, your favourite stuff - whatever YOU want. You can upload your favorite photograph, or use our online catalog of images, including the NHL. Even add text and your own favorite slogans. You rule your design. Remember, you completely design it yourself! It becomes your own style and personality! Each Tego SKin is manufactured specificlaly for you, with your design on it - we don't make any changes to your design. If you can't find your device, let us know! We can still make a TEGO for you, we just need to know what you have. Just follow this link describing the type of device, manufacturer and model. Q How easy is it to put on / take off? Can you please show me how to put it on?
The Tego can easily be put on or taken off by yourself when you are done with it. When you get your Tego Skin in the mail, it comes with complete, easy to follow instructions and a kit to help you apply it properly, and easily. When you are ready to remove the old one to put on a new one, simple peel it off. Your TEGO will come off clean and will not damage your stuff. It will come off completely clean and will not leave a residue (it will look naked though without one, so best get a new one ready before you take the old one off!). Q How does it work?
Our Tegos are precisely cut to the shape and pattern of your specific device; it attaches with a light adhesive that allows you to place them over top of all of your personal electronic devices, on the outside surfaces. you can remove a Tego Skin at anytime without leaving a residue. You do not need to take apart your cell phone or device - you simply apply it to the outer surfaces.
Q What parts of my device does a TEGO work on?
You can use it on practically any surface, such as front and back. For a flip style cell phone, you can actually have it placed in the inside of the flip side as well. The TEGO Skin wraps around the main surfaces and usually covers some of the sides. While we strive for the best coverage as possible, we are limited at times to what we can cover, based on the actual shape and curvature of your device. This means that at times, some of the sides will not be fully covered with a TEGO Skin.
Q How many pieces is it?
A Tego Skin can come in one or multiple pieces depending on what you need and what type of device you have. For example, a flip style cell phone can have up to four pieces (or FACES that you select when you make your Tego Skin), where as an ipod player may just have 2 sides. When you are making your TEGO, you can easily decide what surface (FACE) that you want to have a TEGO on. Each piece that you design is considered a "Face" and is how you will see each section online when you design it with our tegobuilder design workshop. Depending on your device, you can pick ANY of the faces that you want to make, and in ANY combination.
Q Can I give them as gifts?
Yes! Just ensure that you know exactly what model of device that your gift recipient has. You can also ship your new TEGO direct to your friends by entering a different Ship to: address. Alternatively, you can also purchase customizable Gift Cards through our site as well here. You can design each gift card exactly the way that you want - each card is then redeemable at mytego.com for the value that you selected.
Q Is it reusable?
It is removable but it is not reusable. You can replace it with a new one with a funky new design at any time. When you do decide to remove your old tego skin, it will come off clean, without a residue.
Q Where do you get your images from for your skins?
We have created our catalog from many sources, including various artists who love what they do and want everyone to see their magnificent work. Q Does it affect my own warranty?
Absolutely NOT. A lot of products out there will nullify the warranty on your device as they require disassembly, heating, or whatever. As our Tego skins are applied over top of your device, it will not affect your warranty at all.
Q What if I can't or don't want to design my own TEGO skin by myself?
Our TEGO builder software was created specifically to allow you to design and build your own TEGO, as only you know exactly what you want. It is very easy to use; simply select your device model, then select the faces to design, add your images and text, then presto - you are done! If you do encounter some difficulties, feel free to contact us via our toll-free number 1-866-9-MYTEGO, or send us an email and we will help you through the process. Q Do I have to disassemble my device?
NO! You simply apply your TEGO over top of your device. It "sticks" to the plastic with a light, removable adhesive. This means that you will not alter your device or affect your warranty. With a traditional cell phone faceplate, you may have to dismantle your phone, meaning that your warranty is no longer valid. You do not have to dismantle your device to put on a Tego Skin - simply peel and stick!
Q How long does it last?
Your TEGO will typically last for 6-9 months cell phones, mobile phones, ipods, etc. For xbox, nintendo, wii, playstation and other game consoles, laptops and notebook skins, expect your TEGO Skin to last for years! When you are ready to take them off, then you simply peel it off. Your TEGO will not peel off unless you deliberately attempt to remove it. Our specialized vinyl will not leave a sticky or messy residue.
Q Do I have to put a picture on them?
No! Your own creativity and imagination are your guide to create your own Tego Skin for your cell phone, laptop, ipod, or game system. You decide what looks best for you and your tastes. Piece something together from various images, draw something and scan it, put your favorite slogan on it, anything goes! You can use absolutely any image that you want. Think of the new possibilities! Have fun with your design. Be creative!
Q What does it come with?
It comes with an instruction card and an installation kit that helps you quickly put your TEGO skin onto your mobile phone, cell phone, ipod, laptop, notebook or other mobile devices. Here is a quick video of a Tego being applied onto an ipod Nano.
Q Do you make Tego Skins for Guitar Hero Tournaments and Rock Band Tournaments?
Yes, we make all of the Guitar Hero Controllers for all the game systems, like the orginal Sony Playstation 2, Sony Playstation 3, nintendo Wii, Xbox 360. This includes the Les Paul controllers, Gibson contollers. Don't forget that we make skins for Rock Band as well, for the Fender Stratocastor and rock band drum set to really customize your band look. Q Are all of the parts still accessible when it is on? How does my device still work with a TEGO on?
Yes, the Tego is specially cut to your device; all functional buttons, screens, holes, etc are fully useable - your device will work, plus it will look way better. In some cases, the TEGO will "hug" the display area, giving you more space for your design, but will not cover over the display information. With a tego Skin for an apple ipod, the Tego skin will cover the click wheel, but is still fully functional.
Q What if I have a flip phone and I only want one piece (the inside piece and doesn't want the outside, vice versa)?
The products typically come in sets. So, for a flip phone, you can order a full TEGO set, which would be 4 pieces, or "faces". each piece that you select and design is considered a "face". Of course, you can select each face individually, when you are designing your artwork in our TEGO builder.
Q How do your Tego Skins work for laptops, notebooks and apple macbooks?
The Tego skin works the same for all notebooks, laptops and apple macbooks. You design a single Tego skin piece and upload any image that you want to use. You simply need to design a single piece or face with our online tego builder designer studio. On certain macbook and laptop templates, we actually have some that have the apple logo knocked out - meaning that your macbook apple symbol will still glow nicely, as the Tego Skin is cut out around the macbook apple logo. Application of the Tego skin for your laptop, notebook or apple macbook is even easier than the smaller devices like cell phones and ipods, as it is a single piece, and you can easily skin it out onto the flat surface of your laptop.
Q Is it waterproof? What is it made of? Can I make a Tego Skin at home?
Your TEGO is completely waterproof, as it is made with an extremely durable, outdoor rated vinyl material. It is not paper or a thin film. A Tego Skin is very durable and will last for months and months of abuse. Because of the specialized materials, Mytego uses a very specialized printing and manufacturing process that could not be completed in your basement. We specially print and then specially coat the material with our TegoGUARD so that your Tego Skin lasts and lasts.
Q How fast can I get my TEGO?
From the time that you place your order and create it, you should expect to receive it within 14 days (2 weeks) via normal shipping. Your shipping time will also vary based on your location. Normal shipping is through various international postal services. We also offer rush shipping options on checkout. Please contact us if you have not received it within 21 days (3 weeks), and you have not been notified that it will take longer. We strive to keep you apprised of the exact whereabouts of your order. We will notify you when your item is shipped, as well as if we experience some delays with your order. Keep in mind that some couriers and postal services do not operate on various holidays throughout the year, which may cause your order to be delayed slightly when shipped.
Each order is manufactured individually, based on the design that you just created. As a result of our custom-manufacturing process, production times can vary. Therefore, shipping times are in addition to actual production times.
Q How do your Tego Skins work for the apple ipod and othe portable MP3 players? What gamesystems can I get a Tego Skin for?
The Tego Skins work the same way for apple ipods and other MP3 players, as they do for skins for cell phones and laptops. The Tego Skin covers the surface of the apple ipod, with cutouts for the screen. The apple ipod click wheel will still work with a tego skin applied over the surface. However, the Tego Skin is cut around the click wheel so that you can remove it if you so desire. Tego Skins will also work with all game systems, like the microsoft xbox, sony playstation 2, sony playstation 3, ninteno game cube, nintendo wii, sony playstation portable (PSP), Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, plus most of the other portable game systems available. Similar to the tego skins for the laptops, notebooks and macbooks, the tego skins for the xbox, playstation and ninteno wii are applied over top of the surface of these devices, maintaining full functionality, with a cool design to boot.

Q How can I tell what model of phone I have?
If it is a cell phone or mobile phone, you can remove the battery and the model number will usually be on the back of the phone, under the battery.
